PvP
From GeneriaWiki
First, you need a skill to consider doing PvP. If you don't have one, the guild won't let you do it.
Once you have purchased a skill, tell a guild that you don't want their protection. Then, click "Attack other players" to get right into the action!
15 player names will appear - they are the ones closest to you that are within 150 of your PvP ranking. If you are involved in an Epic War, your allies and enemies will be marked. This is because fighting enemies affects the power the winning person's side.
The number next to their name is their ranking. In more cases than not, you will have a better chance of attacking someone with a low ranking (below 1600) than someone with a higher one (1750+). If the number is in between, you'll want to look at their profile before attacking. Click on their name to see their profile. Look at the following things:
- Is their mount slower or faster than yours? If it's faster, they'll win in the mount contest.
- How many turns have they spent? If they've spent more turns than you, then they probably have higher stats, meaning they have a better chance of beating you.
- What equipment are they wearing? If their equipment is better than yours, well... it's better. That helps them, not you. Duh.
- How many of their total turns have been non-combat? To figure this out, add up all of the win-loss-draw numbers, then subtract them from the total turns. If they've spent a lot of turns doing non-combat (ex. Harvest Crops), which tend to give you less XP, silver, and items than combat adv., then it might improve your factors.
- Are they wearing lots of untradable quest items that have a lot of bonuses? If so, they're a moderately, or more, experienced player.
- Lastly, are they on the leaderboards? This one's a no-brainer. If they're on the leaderboards, they're probably more experienced than you... unless of course, you're on the leaderboards too.
Once you choose a person to attack, click "Attack!" in the "Commence creaming" column. The battle is determined by the following:
- Location of attackee (tough terrain raises defense)
- Both player's weapons and armor
and a series of mini-contests:
- Drain the trough (lowest drink value wins)
- Outfit (unknown)
- Mount (fastest mount)
- Buff Stuff (most buffs)
- Spell Casting (Better spellbook?)
- Farmyard stew (highest food value wins)
- Jill-of-all-trades (more different classes of skills wins)
- Switzerland (most draws in the win-loss-draw statistic of one's combat history)
- Packrat (most items in inventory)
- Highest of a specific stat
Clout is gained between 10 and 40, depending on how much you won the battle by. An easy battle that's more like a beating will earn the winner less clout than a very close battle. To everyone's current knowledge (?), the winner always get 30 XP.
When you lose, you get nothing and two turns of the effect Dejected.
